Mission Statement

Posted in: Mission Statement |

Outside of Judaism and Hashem (G*d), I have two loves. Cooking and Kashrut ( Kosher).

The purpose of my blog is to share my loves. When ever I cater an event, inevitably I get asked for the recipe of a dish that was a “smash hit.”

Being that I am a Chef, I can write recipes for just about anything I make. My experience, education and expertise, enable me to help people plan menus, work out problems that people are experiencing with a recipe, execute serving many people at the same time, holding and storing food, etc. I have more than 15 years of experience as a chef and I have learned many things by doing events. I want to offer my experience and knowledge to people to help and encourage them to create their own Kosher food and events.

This blog will provide recipes as well as talk about products that I find that are exciting new ideas or concepts in Kosher cooking. People are welcome to print out the recipes and use them for their own purposes but not to reproduce them or publish them with out my knowledge and written consent. I invite people to e-mail me questions about Kosher cooking. It is my hope that this blog will serve as a resource for many that enjoy keeping Kosher.

Because I do work under the Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California, all my recipes will be written from a Glatt Kosher perspective and will contain ingredients that can be easily obtained with suitable heckshers.

I am happy to answer questions regarding Kashrut -Kosher. If I can not answer a question definitively, my resource will be Rabbi Ben-Tzion Welton – Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California.

Yom Tov and happy cooking!
